2025/January 3-In the Studio This Week | New Series Intro / 55 Botanical Tags

Introducing a new series: Thrifted Books Ephemera. Look for it every other Thursday beginning January 2nd. And my camera has come, and it's working out pretty well. I'm having some minor trouble with the sound being consistent, so an issue I need to address. I have begun two new series this month. The first is creating ephemera from thrifted books. I have sooo many books! So my goal is to get them off the shelf and made into ephemera for my stash. So far, I have made 55 botanical tags from one book. More to come soon!

2025/January 10-In the Studio This Week | New Series Intro / Dainty Envelopes Made with Vintage Postage Stamps

Introducing a new series: Making Ephemera From Thrift Store Finds. So this week I have been gathering together bits and pieces from my stash that I have bought at thrift and antique stores that I need to pare down and make into ephemera for upcoming journals. The first project I worked on was creating dainty envelopes using some of my vintage stamps. The second project is using up some steampunk themed pieces that I got on clearance at my local craft store. I am using some of these to make journal cover toppers as well as other pieces to go inside a journal. Out of my comfort zone on this one, but want to see what I can make from these goodies.

2025/January 17-In the Studio This Week | 59 Page Toppers, Lacey Pockets & Punched Smalls

The second book in this series had a plethora of vintage Victorian images that I made into pockets with lace, 15 toppers or large journaling cards. I also got several of small punched pieces to put into tiny envelopes or tuck spots. I already have plans to take some of this ephemera and use it with the dainty envelopes from last week!
